We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Finance Specialist (M/F/D) to strengthen our Finance team in Pratteln, Switzerland. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of financial reporting, tax management, and internal controls across Swiss legal entities. Reporting directly to the Finance Lead Switzerland, this position serves as a key partner and deputy within the local Finance function.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver financial reporting packages in compliance with IFRS and local Swiss GAAP, including month-end close activities
- Manage and maintain Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICoFR), ensuring ongoing compliance and accuracy
- Conduct regular valuation of equity investments under local GAAP and perform tax assessments
- Lead tax management and coordination for Switzerland, including oversight of external tax service providers
- Serve as the primary Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all accounting and Global Business Services (GBS) matters worldwide relating to Swiss legal entities
- Manage external audits of Swiss legal entities, acting as the main liaison with auditors
- Plan, control, and coordinate activities to ensure alignment with corporate, local management, fiscal, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee Swiss Master Data Management, including cost centers, internal orders, allocation cycles, and central master data files
- Support and actively drive controlling activities, collaborating closely with the Finance Lead Switzerland
- Act as deputy for the Finance Lead Switzerland, providing reliable operational continuity
- Ensure compliance with VAT regulations (Swiss and EU) and navigate complex international tax frameworks including OECD standards
- Collaborate effectively with Global Business Services hubs and cross-functional stakeholders in an intercultural environment
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration with a higher professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant, Tax Adviser, or Trustee
- Minimum 10 years of experience in statutory accounting and tax legislation
- Proven capability in closing books under both IFRS and local GAAP
- Strong expertise in Swiss and international tax legislation, including OECD/Swiss tax frameworks and VAT regulations (Swiss/EU)
- Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel; strong overall IT and systems affinity
- Fluent in German and English (verbal and written) — additional languages are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and decisively, taking full ownership of tasks
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural competencies, with an inclusive mindset and collaborative working style
- Experience in management representation and working effectively with senior stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
