The IIHF Legal Department is looking to recruit a motivated Legal Intern to support its team on a wide range of legal, compliance, and integrity matters. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international sports law and to develop legal skills in a global environment.
Duration
The internship will be for 12 months. The IIHF would like this position to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, editing and reviewing legal documents (letters, memoranda, regulations, contracts, etc.)
- Performing legal research and analysis
- Optimizing and maintaining the case management system
- Assisting with integrity investigations and activities
- Preparing disciplinary cases
- Supporting legal projects
Core Qualifications
- Recently obtained a degree in Law or a related field
- 2 years of legal experience which may include internships
- Previous experience in Sports Law
- Legal document formation, preparation, review, and drafting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications
- Previous legal experience, which may include internships, in an international environment
- Relevant experience in sports
- Fluency in another language(s) (other than English)
