- Act as a trusted adviser to the CEO, COO and Senior Management Team on financial strategy, organisational sustainability, resource allocation and the financial implications of strategic decisions
- Contribute to strategic reviews and long-term financial planning to support organisational objectives and sustainable growth
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles across all organisational programmes and functions
- Monitor financial performance and provide regular financial analysis, variance reporting and recommendations to management
- Develop financial models, dashboard and performance indicators to support decision-making and organisational planning
- Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management, annual report, governance bodies and external stakeholders
- Serve as the principal finance liaison to the Treasurer and the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee
- Prepare financial reports, presentations and supporting papers for Finance Committee and Board meetings
- Present financial performance, forecasts, risk assessments and recommendations to the Finance Committee and governance bodies as required
- Maintain and support the continuous improvement of financial governance frameworks, policies and procedures
- Support the management in maintaining and overseeing the organisational risk register
- Support the COO in coordinating risk assessments, monitor mitigation plans and report key risks to management and governance bodies
- Strengthen internal controls, financial policies and compliance processes across the organisation
- Support business continuity planning and broader organisational risk management initiatives
- Manage organisational liquidity, cash-flow forecasting and banking relationships
- Oversee liquidities investments, reserve management and foreign exchange risk management activities
- Monitor investment performance, prepare and present reporting for management and governance committees
- Oversee financial accounting operations and statutory reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with Swiss regulatory requirements and Swiss GAAP FER21 reporting standards
- Lead the coordination of external audits and support internal audit activities
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and regulatory compliance
- Lead finance systems enhancement and process improvement initiatives
- Drive automation, standardisation and optimisation of financial processes and reporting
- Ensure data integrity and effective utilisation of financial systems
- Manage and develop the finance team including an accountant and a finance coordinator
- Provide financial oversight of legal, payroll and finance systems support activities
- Support employee development, performance management within the finance function
- University degree or equivalent experience to reach master level in finance, accounting, business administration or related field
- Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience in finance or controlling role
- Experience managing or significantly contributing to systems implementation and process improvement projects, ideally including ERP environments would be an asset
- Proven track record of efficiently managing financial and accounting principles, Swiss GAAP FER 21 would be an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present and influence senior-level stakeholders, able to translate financial information into clear recommendations for non-financial stakeholders
