About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and meticulous Chef de Partie to join our VIP culinary team AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. You will take ownership of a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes for our exclusive private jet clients, premium business class cabins, and high-end private events are prepared with absolute precision, elegance, and excellence. We want a chef who brings great energy, a passion for an uncompromising eye for luxury detail to the line.
Annual gross salary: CHF 60,000–66,000 (including 13th month), negotiable depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the preparation and cooking of bespoke, high-end dishes tailored for VIP aviation and exclusive events.
- Supervise Commis de Cuisine and Kitchen Helpers in your assigned section, leading by example.
- Ensure immaculate presentation, exceptional plating, and precise portion control designed specifically for luxury aviation and premium dining.
- Handle premium ingredients with care, ensuring all food items are stored correctly and rotated according to food safety standards (FIFO).
- Maintain a spotless, highly organized, and efficient work station at all times.
- Strictly adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations (HACCP).
- Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in developing and testing innovative, fine-dining menus for our private jet clients.
- Monitor stock levels of specialized ingredients and assist with ordering for your station.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Commis (2+ years); airline catering experience is a huge plus.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification from a recognized culinary school.
- Strong foundation in versatile culinary techniques with a meticulous eye for high-end plating and detail.
- Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP).
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Highly organized, calm, and able to lead a team flawlessly under pressure to meet strict flight departure deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work various shifts (early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays) to accommodate dynamic flight schedules.
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a positive, team-player attitude.
