As Head of the Fragrance Ingredients Business, you will provide global leadership, ensuring cohesive execution of the company’s commercial and marketing strategies. You will align regional priorities and global customer objectives with the overall company direction and act as the key interface between divisional strategy, annual targets, and market execution. In this role, you will support sales performance, set team direction, and foster cross‑functional collaboration across the organisation to strengthen the division’s market presence and customer relationships for our Ingredients portfolio.
This position reports to the Global Head of S&T Fragrances and is based in Vernier, Switzerland.
Your key responsibilities include

Translate divisional commercial and marketing strategies into actionable business area objectives, providing clear targets and guidance to regional Sales and global Marketing teams.

Support divisional management in monitoring global business performance, including sales outcomes, marketing initiatives, and portfolio evolution.

Lead the implementation of global marketing plans and pricing strategies to ensure a consistent company presence and competitive positioning across markets.

Partner with regional teams, creation, and operations functions to drive customer engagement and coordinated go‑to‑market execution that delivers value‑adding solutions.

Facilitate global alignment in product portfolio management, marketing messaging, and sales approaches.

Coordinate divisional projects such as portfolio rationalisation, customer segmentation, and strategic account frameworks.

Ensure consistent application of global sales processes, forecasting methodologies, and performance dashboards.

Lead the global Business Area team, reinforcing collaboration and knowledge sharing between Sales, Marketing, and supporting functions.

Represent the Fragrance Ingredients Business within divisional and corporate forums, contributing strategic insights from both market and commercial dimensions.

Liaise with cross‑functional partners - Finance, Operations, HR, EHS, Regulatory, and Innovation - to ensure efficient and compliant commercial operations.

Track market and competitor trends, providing strategic recommendations on opportunities, challenges, and marketing priorities.

Contribute to planning and budgeting cycles, ensuring the right balance between sales targets and marketing resources.

Advanced degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a closely related field.

Over 20 years’ experience in senior leadership roles within international organisations.

Proven success leading integrated Sales and Marketing functions, ideally within the fragrance or specialty ingredients industry.

Strong background in commercial strategy, global account management, and marketing communications.

Deep knowledge of B2B commercial models, marketing frameworks, and portfolio management processes.

Advanced analytical and strategic planning skills.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
