Within CHUV, the NeuroDigital Group is part of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences (DNC) and operates under the scientific leadership of Professor Philippe Ryvlin. The group develops and contributes to large-scale European initiatives at the intersection of neuroscience, digital infrastructures, artificial intelligence, health data, and research governance. A major focus of the team is its long-standing involvement in EBRAINS, the European Research Infrastructure for brain research and brain-inspired technologies, which provides advanced digital services, data resources, computing platforms, and collaborative tools to the neuroscience community across Europe and beyond.
To support our activities within the European Commission-funded Coordination and Support Action (CSA) "EBRAINS Implement", we are seeking a Governance Coordinator (50%) to contribute to the governance, operational alignment, stakeholder engagement, and strategic development of EBRAINS as it evolves towards a sustainable European legal and organizational framework.
As Governance Coordinator, you will support CHUV's contribution to EBRAINS Implement, a strategic European initiative aimed at preparing the future governance and operational model of EBRAINS, including its potential transition towards a European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (EDIC) and its alignment with the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) ecosystem.
You will play a central role in facilitating interactions between European partners, national stakeholders, research infrastructures, and governance bodies while actively supporting project management, coordination activities, community surveys, the production of guidelines and reports.
Your responsibilities
Governance and strategic coordination
- Support the governance and coordination activities related to EBRAINS' transition towards a future EDIC structure.
- Contribute to the development of operational frameworks, governance models, strategic documents, and implementation plans
- Organize and support meetings, workshops, consultations, and stakeholder interactions involving European partners, ministries, and research organizations
- Monitor policy developments related to European research infrastructures, EOSC, and digital infrastructures.
- Contribute to project reporting, deliverables, and communication with funding agencies and consortium partners
Required qualifications
- Master's degree or higher
- Extensive experience in project coordination, governance, stakeholder management, or research management and communication
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary environment
- Extensive experience preparing reports, governance documents, meeting materials, and project deliverables
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
Desired qualifications
- Experience with European Commission-funded projects (Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020, Digital Europe, or related programmes)
- Familiarity with European research infrastructures, research policy, EOSC, EDICs, ERICs, or related governance frameworks
- Strong knowledge of neuroscience, digital health, research infrastructures, data governance, or open science ecosystems
- Experience coordinating diverse stakeholder communities across countries and institutions
- Working knowledge of French is an advantage.
