We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Account Manager to strengthen our presence in the DACH and EMEA markets. This role is pivotal to our growth strategy and focuses on nurturing trusted client relationships, driving customer satisfaction, and expanding our footprint within our SME accounts.
The ideal candidate should have a solid background in sales and account management in B2B IT services or IT Security, along with a strong sense of initiative and an highly structured work approach. Native-level German and fluency in English are essential, given the focus on the DACH region.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for SME accounts, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and retention.
- Build trusted, long-lasting relationships with senior stakeholders through regular engagement and value-based discussions.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling Ontinue’s SOC and MXDR services.
- Proactively address challenges, ensuring a consistently positive customer experience.
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve growth targets by expanding within existing accounts
- Drive and maintain a high renewal rate within your own customer portfolio
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and delivery teams to design and execute account-specific strategies.
- Present compelling proposals and business cases that demonstrate Ontinue’s unique value to customers in the DACH/EMEA region.
Market & Product Expertise
- Build and maintain expert knowledge of Ontinue’s SOC and MXDR services (ION Platform), as well as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Azure security solutions.
- Stay current on cybersecurity trends, the competitive landscape, and local regulatory requirements across DACH/EMEA.
- Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients strengthen their security posture and maximize their Microsoft investments
Required experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the B2B IT or cybersecurity industry.
- Solid foundation and application of B2B sales methodologies on a day-to-day basis
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing large SME customer portfolio independently
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Working independently, highly organized, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluent in German and English(additional European languages a plus).
Nice to haves:
- Strong understanding of Microsoft security solutions, including but not limited to Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Azure security services.
- Familiarity with regional data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, BDSG).
- Network of established relationships within enterprise IT/security communities in DACH/EMEA.
- Background in managed security services or SOC operations.
