Based at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, within the Ottolenghi Department, the Chef de Rang is responsible for his section. He must welcome customers, serve them and attend to them throughout the service. The Chef de Rang reports directly to the Restaurant Manager.
As Chef de Rang, you will be responsible for:
Prepare your station
Present the menu and announce the daily specials or special offers
Serve dishes according to Mandarin Oriental service standards.
Check on customer satisfaction
Monitor service throughout the meal
Welcome and serve customers in accordance with the hospitality principles of a 5-star hotel, respecting the expectations of the Mandarin Oriental Group and Swiss Deluxe
Adhere to and apply the Mandarin Oriental principles set out in ‘Our Commitments’
As Chef de Rang we expect from you:
A passion for service and attention to detail.
Previous kitchen experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment preferred.
Team spirit, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow.
Good communication skills and a flexible attitude.
Fluency in English and French, another European language is a plus.
A valid Swiss work permit or EU passport.
