L'Objectif du poste:

BIC-BRED (Suisse) SA, based in Geneva, is the Swiss subsidiary of BRED Banque Populaire. It is part of the BPCE Group, France’s second-largest banking group. BIC-BRED SA was founded in Geneva in 2015. Its main business is Trade Commodity Finance (Agri, Oil & Gas and Metals). The Bank stands out for its very strong growth in the Commodity Trade finance space.
The Relationship Manager will be responsible for originating, developing, and managing a portfolio of commodity traders active in the metals and commodities sectors, with a focus on transactional commodity trade finance and structured trade finance. Based in Geneva, you will be part of the Metals’ desk, and your role will consist in building long-term client relationships while ensuring compliance with credit, regulatory, and operational standards

Develop and manage a portfolio of trading companies active in ferrous and non-ferrous metals trading.
Maintain high-quality client relationships and act as the main point of contact for day-to-day banking needs. Contribute to revenue growth while maintaining disciplined risk management.
Originate new business opportunities in commodity trade finance, including transactional and structured facilities such as:

o Import/export financing
o Borrowing base facilities
o Guarantees
o Inventory financing

Prepare and present credit proposals, annual reviews, and transaction requests.
Monitor client performance, exposures, collateral, repayment sources, and transaction flows.
Work closely with credit, risk, compliance, legal, operations, and treasury teams.
Ensure transactions comply with internal policies, KYC, AML, sanctions, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor market trends affecting metals, logistics, pricing, counterparties, and geopolitical risks.

Expérience / compétences requises:

Strong experience in relationship management in corporate banking, ideally in trade commodity finance and a strong commercial mindset with robust risk awareness.
5–10 years of relevant experience in banking, trade finance, or commodity finance.
Existing network within metals trading houses, producers, or commodity merchants would be a strong advantage.
Knowledge of Swiss banking regulations, AML/KYC standards, and international trade documentation.
A good knowledge of the metals trading sector would be an asset.
Understanding of credit risk, transactional risk, collateral structures, and commodity flows.
Strong financial analysis skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
Fluent in English and French. Other languages are an advantage.
