As a Junior Sous Chef you will be required to:
- Assist our chefs with the overall running of the kitchen
- Monitor HACCP procedures and hygiene standards
- Maintain a high quality of our menu and its presentation
- Be efficient and have a proven ability to work under pressure
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your assigned section.
- Assist in developing new menu items and specials.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed to minimize waste.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
- Ensure consistency in portion sizes and food quality.
- Work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
- Follow health & safety and food hygiene standards at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
- Experience in pub food or casual dining is a plus.
- Passion for cooking and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Fluent in English.
- Must have EU Passport
