About the role
To strengthen our Basel Pharma operations, we are looking for a reliable and flexible Lab Support Relief Staff member who can support our teams during planned vacation periods and occasional sick leave coverage.
This is not a regular fixed weekly position, but a flexible operational support role with planned assignments.
Position Overview
Assignments are typically planned in advance together with the employee.
Examples include:
- Coverage during vacation periods (e.g. several planned weeks per year)
- Additional support during operational absences or sick leaves
- Temporary support during increased operational demand
This role is ideal for someone with flexible availability who enjoys and meaningful work in a professional environment.
What You'll Do
- Support our laboratory teams with daily operational tasks
- Cleaning and hygiene tasks in lab and office areas
- Refill consumables (gloves, soap, paper, etc.)
- Assist with waste handling and internal logistics
- Follow hygiene, biosafety and operational procedures
- Support operational continuity during absences and vacation coverage
What We're Looking For
- Reliable, organised, flexible and trustworthy
- Careful, clean working style
- Willingness to learn and follow defined procedures
- Comfortable in a professional laboratory environment
- Communicative English (B1/B2 level)
- German skills are an advantage
- No prior lab or cleaning experience required – we train you
