QUANT INTERNSHIP - POWER MARKET
We’re looking for a quantitatively minded intern to join our team and help improve forecasting models for the power market. We build models for power production, prices, and demand, working at the intersection of data, machine learning, and energy systems. As an intern, you’ll be involved in the full modelling process: exploring data, developing ideas, training models, testing what works, and helping move the best solutions into production.
A typical project could be improving demand forecasts by adding new signals, such as strikes or other events that may impact consumption patterns. The goal is that by the end of the internship you will have contributed to, or delivered, a model that outperforms the current one and is actually used in production. We’re not necessarily looking for someone who already knows power markets. What matters most is strong quantitative ability, curiosity, and the drive to figure things out.
A background in mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, computer science, economics, or similar is a good fit. Strong Python skills are important, and experience with machine learning or time series models is a plus. You will have real ownership of your work and the opportunity to contribute to models that have a direct impact in a production environment.
