Media & Press Assistant – Summit at the United Nations, Geneva (Temporary, 4-Day Fixed Contract: 12–15 August)
We are looking for Media & Press Assistants to support media operations at an international summit held at the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), Palais des Nations, this August. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside journalists, photographers, and communications teams at a high-profile event at the United Nations.
Contract & What We Offer:
- Fixed-term contract: 4 days, 12–15 August 2026
- Daily rate + bonus: CHF 80–120 per day

Key Dates – full availability required:
- Online training: 3 sessions in July, every Sunday 15:00–16:00 (CEST), 1 hour each
- On-site training: 7–11 August in Geneva (half-day or full-day sessions; complimentary lunch provided)
- Contract period: 12–15 August, UNOG, Geneva
Responsibilities:
- Assist with interview coordination: scheduling, escorting speakers and journalists, managing interview rooms
- Support photographers and video teams on-site: equipment handling, positioning, shot lists
- Help manage the media/press area and respond to journalists' requests
- Assist with capturing event content (photos, short clips, quotes) for social media and post-event materials
- Coordinate with the communications team on daily media logistics
Requirements:
- Fluent English required; French and/or other UN languages a strong plus
- Prior experience in media, journalism, photography, videography, or communications preferred
- Familiarity with cameras and basic photo/video equipment is a plus
- Legally eligible to work in Switzerland (valid work permit or Swiss/EU citizenship)
- Valid ID required for UNOG security accreditation
- Professional, discreet, and comfortable interacting with journalists and VIPs
- Punctual, proactive, and able to work long event days in a fast-paced environment
Pay: CHF80.00 - CHF120.00 per day
