- Process Design & Optimization: Design, implement, and/or optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Oversee and maintain the plant’s production and utility systems (HVAC, purified water systems, compressed air, etc.) to ensure smooth and efficient operations

Equipment Maintenance: ensure the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of plant equipment are carried out in professionally and economically in the respect of applicable health and safety procedures to ensure operational reliability and plant availability.

Project Coordination: Lead and participate in engineering projects, from feasibility study or conceptual design through execution, ensuring timely completion within budget in the area of responsibility

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and vendors to ensure alignment on process improvements and compliance.

Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of engineering processes such as Process & Instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) according to change management an in compliance with GMP

Training: Provide training and support to plant personnel on processes and equipment, fostering the plant knowledge and a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

Compliance: Ensure all engineering practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related field
-
3+ years of experience in a plant engineering or maintenance role, ideally in a GMP-regulated industry (pharma, biotech, medical devices)

Strong knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements in manufacturing and maintenance processes

Experience with plant infrastructure, utilities, and manufacturing equipment (e.g., HVAC, clean steam, water systems, pumps, etc.)

Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and plant automation

Strong problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills

Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance

Proficient in English and French: German is a plus.
