We are a family based in Geneva looking for a warm, reliable, and experienced nanny to care for our two children. This is a long-term role for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, can provide a safe and nurturing environment, and is comfortable with a schedule that changes depending on the school calendar.
The position averages approximately 47 hours per week over the year. The schedule will generally be lighter during school weeks and busier during school holidays, when the children are at home more. We are looking for someone flexible, organized, and happy to become a trusted part of our family’s daily routine.
Main Duties
The nanny will be responsible for the children’s day-to-day care, wellbeing, and routine. Duties will include:
Providing attentive, caring, and age-appropriate supervision for two children
School and activity drop-offs and pick-ups as needed
Planning engaging activities, outings, games, crafts, and playtime
Supporting homework, reading, and school-related routines
Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children
Helping with morning and evening routines, including dressing, bathing, and bedtime preparation when required
Keeping the children’s areas tidy and organized
Managing children’s laundry and clothing as needed
Packing school bags, snacks, sports kits, and other daily items
Encouraging good manners, independence, and positive behavior
Communicating clearly with the parents about the children’s day, schedule, needs, and any concerns
During school holidays, the role may include more full-day care, organizing outings, keeping the children engaged, and maintaining a balanced daily routine.
Schedule
This role is based on an average of 47 hours per week across the year.
The schedule will vary depending on whether the children are in school or on holiday:
During school days: fewer hours, focused mainly around mornings, afternoons, school pick-ups, activities, and after-school care
During school holidays: more hours, including fuller days of childcare
Some flexibility will be important, and the exact schedule can be discussed in advance
