The Role
We are looking for a Global Product Specialist – Palatants to join our Global Creation, Design & Development (CD&D) Feed Additives Ingredients (FAI) team in Rolle, Switzerland. You will join a team of product specialists supporting the global Animal Nutrition business. As the expert for the Palatants portfolio dedicated to livestock animals, you will bring product expertise, drive portfolio development and support business growth worldwide.
The position operates within a matrix organization: you own your product line while working across functions and regions, coordinating closely with global and regional teams to deliver on shared objectives.
Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Global Palatants Team Leader (CD&D FAI), and as the recognized expert for your products, you will:
-
Own your product portfolio — acting as the go-to technical reference and providing daily technical support to the worldwide sales force and customers on the Palatants range and its applications.
-
Participate in discussions with customers and the sales force to maximize the chances of success on new collaboration opportunities.
-
Lead transversal projects across the portfolio in close collaboration with other functions — including new product development, innovation and product prioritization — applying structured project management to keep initiatives on scope, on time and on budget.
-
Work hand-in-hand with cross-functional partners (R&D, Production, Quality, Registration, Purchasing and others) within the matrix organization.
-
Collect and listen to market needs and assess the competitive landscape to optimize and expand the current portfolio.
-
Develop technical and marketing content to support the business and the sales force.
-
Manage the operational set-up of your products — including technical documentation, formula management and product set-up in ADM's ERP and software systems.
-
Be closely involved with the Palatants laboratory team and projects — including product evaluation, application testing, collaboration with the Flavorist and organization of panel tests.
Your Profile-
MSc in Agriculture / Animal Nutrition, or equivalent.
-
3–5 years' experience in the Feed Additives business or Animal Nutrition, with a solid understanding of the animal feed industry and of customer priorities, needs and challenges in the field.
-
Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to run several projects in parallel within a matrix environment.
-
Hands-on experience using ERP systems (product set-up, formula and documentation management).
-
Background in Palatants / flavors and the perception of feed intake in animal nutrition is an advantage.
-
Flexible, proactive team player, comfortable working on several projects at once in a dynamic, international environment.
-
Fluent in English (written and oral); other major languages are a plus.
-
Able to travel worldwide (up to 20% of the time).
