About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our Internet TV video platform that serves many hundreds of thousands of concurrent users. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-availability and high-load services for video content delivery at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain services for video streaming infrastructure using Golang.
- Formalize, document, and implement business logic to ensure efficient and reliable video storage and delivery.
- Design and implement services for monitoring and analytics of the video streaming infrastructure.
- Optimize services for high traffic and high RPS (requests per second).
- Design and implement load tests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate video streaming services with transcoding and other components of the streaming platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the video streaming infrastructure.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in video streaming.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years of software development experience, with at least 1 year in Golang.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Golang.
- Solid understanding of Linux system resource limitations and management.
- Good understanding of high-availability and high-observability HTTP service development practices.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and traffic management.
- Experience with concurrency programming and multi-threaded applications.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with video streaming protocols (HLS, Dash).
- Experience with development of CDN (content delivery network) components.
- Experience with developing and optimizing high-traffic and high-rps HTTP services.
