We are opening an E2E Data Lead position to strengthen a team based in Geneva. The role is part of a broad end-to-end transformation initiative covering processes, systems, and data. Acting as a key link between business and technical teams, you will support the preparation of the design phase of a major data migration, with a particular focus on assessing, structuring, and preparing critical data assets for their transition to new systems.
-
Assess key data entities in terms of structure, quality, granularity, consistency, and governance to determine their readiness for migration.
-
Compare existing data structures with target standard data models, perform gap analyses, and define appropriate fit-to-standard approaches.
-
Lead cross-functional workshops with Data Stewards to address data quality topics such as duplication, incomplete information, inconsistent values, taxonomy differences, and insufficient granularity.
-
Facilitate discussions between business and technical stakeholders, helping teams reach decisions on critical data requirements and transformation priorities.
-
Develop target data models, document key decisions, risks, and issues, and translate findings into practical remediation and migration action plans.
-
Coordinate with technical teams to validate the feasibility of proposed data transformation and migration approaches.
-
Ensure that master data governance principles, ownership models, and data lifecycles are aligned with the broader data governance framework.
-
Present recommendations and coordinate cross-functional actions and follow-ups to ensure effective preparation for the subsequent transformation phases.
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent university qualification in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
-
Significant professional experience in data-focused environments, including at least 5 years across business analysis, data management, and project management.
-
Proven experience with complex system data migrations; previous involvement in ERP data migration initiatives is highly valued.
-
Strong understanding of data modelling, data quality, governance, master data management, and fit-to-standard principles.
-
Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to build consensus across multidisciplinary teams.
-
Business analysis certification such as CCBA or CBAP, project management/methodology certification such as Agile, PRINCE2, HERMES, PMI or IPMA, and/or data governance certification would be advantageous.
-
Excellent written and spoken English is required; knowledge of French would be an advantage.
-
Previous experience within the humanitarian or non-profit sector would be considered an asset.
