About the role:
The FM and Workplace Project Manager is responsible for the operational management of Real Estate, FM and Workplace related projects for the Straumann Campus in Basel (UPTOWN). The position is also actively involved in Health, Safety & Employee Wellbeing and site security for Basel (later Arlesheim, Uptown). The role establishes an attractive, sustainable, and compliant workplace environment while supporting business growth, employee experience and wellbeing, operational resilience, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Workplace Management

Manage office expansions, consolidations, relocations, and workplace transformation projects in Uptown.

Manage all project phases from planning and design through execution and occupancy.

Serve as liaison with landlords, architects, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Develop workplace strategies that support hybrid work models, employee engagement and wellbeing, and organizational effectiveness.

Conduct space and occupancy analyses and o planning (digital / FMS) to optimize utilization and adjust to customer needs

Oversee lease administration, contract management, accruals, and asset management.

Ensure business continuity through effective transition and swing-space planning.

Maintain compliance with all authority and governance requirements.
FM & Office Construction Management
-
Lead construction and fit-out projects for the Uptown and Basel Campus.

Manage budgets, timelines, procurement processes, and contractor performance.
-
Coordinate tendering and RFP processes for external service providers.
-
Monitor project execution, quality standards, workplace design guidelines, and HSE requirements.

Ensure successful project handover and user adoption through change management initiatives.

Support FM hard services, write FM operations concept and house regulations for respective areas

On-call duty as required
Close interaction with FM Soft Services and Event Management Health, Safety & Employee Wellbeing

Support workplace health, safety, and wellbeing programs.

Coordinate emergency drills, safety campaigns, and employee wellness initiatives.
-
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and regulations.

Promote a culture of safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
Security Management
-
Serve as back up for Site Security Lead and on-call services (as required)

Manage physical security systems, access control, visitor management, and emergency response procedures.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's/ KV or equivalent education in Facility Management, Business / Hospitality Services or related field.

5+ years of experience in workplace management, facility / real estate management, or related disciplines.
-
Proven experience leading FM and/or project teams and workplace projects.
-
Experience in Security and FM (hard & soft), external vendor management.
-
Strong understanding of lease administration, project management, and workplace strategy, FMS solutions
-
Familiarity with HSE, business continuity, and crisis management practices.
