Your role
The Materials Engineering Lead acts as team member in product development, manufacturing and quality control and field support for our customers. In that role, he consults with profound knowledge in materials selection, materials properties and manufacturing for Turbomachinery and Aerospace products.
Key Responsibilities-
Consultancy and selection of materials for product development

Specification, audit and acceptance of manufacturing processes and heat treatment

Support of risk assessments and root cause analysis for material failures

Accountable as Subject Matter Expert in materials used Turbomachinery and Aerospace products
Required Qualifications & Experience-
Good knowledge of Turbomachinery and Aerospace products.

8+ years of experience in industrial or technology environment, preferably in Aerospace, Energy or Metallurgy
- Solid understanding of end to end product development (concept, design, validation, compliance, industrialization).

Languages: English: fluent working proficiency (mandatory), German, French is of advantage
Required Skills & Competencies-
Strong analytical thinking: ability to see dependencies, identification of risks and impacts of decisions.

Excellent communication skills and decision making.

Network in material science, new publications and understanding of standards
