We're looking for a Defence and Pro Workwear Lead to run two sides of our professional business (combined annual revenue of around €20 million):
1) Defence tender and sales strategy, identifying, shaping and winning tenders and sales
contracts for Armed Forces and private accounts across Europe and globally
2) Commercial agenda for the Pro Workwear business, leading a small sales team
You'll partner with our dedicated Defence and Pro Workwear specialists on day-to-day account delivery and build the networks that get us invited early. The role is anchored in Bergen but does not require you to be based in Norway — we welcome strong candidates located elsewhere in Europe, close to the markets and customers you’ll serve.
Defence leadership (primary focus)
- Own the full tender process end to end, identifying opportunities, qualifying them, and leading tenders from first response to signed contract
- Lead tenders in Europe and the wider global market
- Lead compelling, compliant submissions, coordinating across product, production, finance and logistics, including pricing
- Track procurement portals and tender pipelines across multiple countries; own deadlines, documentation and follow-up
- Build and leverage networks within defence and military procurement to position Janus Wool early and effectively
- Develop partnerships and generate sales through private defence sales groups and wholesale accounts
Commercial ownership — Pro
- Hold senior relationships with key accounts
- Negotiate pricing, terms and framework agreements
- Support growth of our workwear distribution, building-supply chains, specialist retailers, tradespeople, and industrial buyers such as fisheries, transport and warehousing
Team leadership
Own targets, budget, sales and demand planning for the Defence and Pro businesses
- Lead and develop a team of two salespeople, setting priorities and supporting them in the field
- Own pipeline and commercial reporting for the Pro business, as part of the leadership team
Product, brand & market
- Feed customer and market insight into the Pro range, pricing and go-to-market
- Plan and represent Janus Wool at trade fairs, customer events and industry forums
- Position our wool quality and Norwegian production as a clear advantage in professional and military applications, and ensure the brand is managed at the highest standard
