As a
Product Manager you are
responsible for the overall product vision and accountable for product success according to the business plan.
The role is part of the
Industrial Navigation & Robotics product line, focusing on
high-precision positioning solutions for demanding applications.
Depending on the role focus, this may include both scaling established products and/or identifying and developing new product opportunities from concept to initial market traction.
As a member of the Product Strategy team, you contribute to the definition of the Product Line strategy, ensuring a good fit of new products into the Product Line portfolio, while also evolving the portfolio through identification of new market opportunities.
In this role you develop a strong understanding of customer challenges within your assigned market segment(s) and translate them into clear product requirements, combining market needs, technology trends, internal innovations, R&D capabilities, and business goals.
You support the sales organization in winning specific opportunities and ensures that the sales organization is equipped with the necessary product collaterals to win business in a scalable way.
The role may focus either on established products or on new product creation, requiring different balances between execution and exploration.
The role can be located in Espoo or Tampere, Finland.
Your Responsibilities
Strategic planning and business responsibility:
- Contribute to the Product Line strategy and roadmap definition.
- Identify and assess new business opportunities and product concepts.
- Prepare the product business plan and ensure the fulfillment of the plan.
Product lifecycle management:
- Define and manage product requirements aligned with market and customer needs, time-to-market requirements, and available resources, including MVP scoping where applicable.
- Own the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, including go-to-market plan and execution.
- Propose and maintain the price point for the product within the context of the broader product portfolio.
- Monitor key performance indicators to track the product's success and make necessary adjustments
- Ensure that customer-facing documents remain relevant and up-to-date during the entire product life cycle.
- Contribute to the Integrated Business Plan process, challenging the sales forecast to increase business predictability.
- Handle escalations in case of significant non-conformities.
Sales enablement:
- Partner with Key Account Managers to help win key business opportunities and identify opportunities to grow the business.
- Train the sales team and distributors as needed.
- Provide updated fighting guides with sharp arguments to win against competition.
- Maintain contact with key customers, partners, and key players in the ecosystem for product promotion and seek feedback on products, as well as future customer requirements.
Company representation:
- Represent the company in key conferences and participate in standardization activities.
Your Skills and Experience
Educational Background:
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunications.
- Master's degree in business administration and/or marketing is considered an asset.
Professional Experience:
- Several years of experience in business development, product marketing, product management, technical marketing, or project management.
- Technical background in semiconductors or electronics, with experience in electronic design or related applications considered an asset.
- Specific GNSS knowledge or experience with positioning technologies is highly valued.
Skills and Competencies:
- Entrepreneurial mindset, excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and multi-tasking skills.
- Team player with demonstrated ability to work in cross-cultural, cross-geographical, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Self-motivated, takes initiatives, well-organized, can deal with overall strategic topics as well as more detailed operational questions.
- Proficient in English; skill in other languages is an advantage.
- Available to travel on a 10-20% work time basis.
