Your Responsibilities
As Market Controller Switzerland (m/f/d), you will be responsible for statutory accounting and US GAAP accounting for Switzerland. In this key role, you will work closely with local and international Finance teams as well as other business functions to ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the local controllership function, including the Principal Operating Company (POC), which comprises more than 30 country ledgers

Providing financial oversight and governance for the Swiss business

Ensuring accurate execution and reporting across:
-
US GAAP accounting and financial close processes
-
Accruals and provisions
-
Account reconciliations
-
Financial closing and consolidation activities
-
Overseeing Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including invoice and payment processing as well as travel and expense management
-
Managing intercompany transactions and related reconciliations
-
Ensuring compliance with all applicable global, regional, and local policies, procedures, and governance requirements

Supporting and driving standardization and simplification initiatives across the Finance organization

Preparing quarterly and year-end reporting packages in line with corporate requirements
-
Maintaining responsibility for the internal control framework and SOX documentation while ensuring an effective control environment

Collaborating closely with the Group Controller and global and regional Centers of Excellence

Acting as the primary point of contact for internal audits, compliance reviews, SOX-related activities, and other audit engagements

Ensuring compliance with local statutory accounting requirements for Swiss legal entities
-
Managing statutory reporting, tax accounting, and audit processes
-
Serving as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and external advisors
A key success factor in this role is the effective coordination of Finance activities between the local Swiss market requirements and the global and regional Finance organizations.
Stakeholder Management
In this role, you will work closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Internal
-
Lead and coordinate Shared Service Center teams across Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (OTC), statutory accounting, and tax-related matters

Partner with FP&A and Consolidation teams on close planning, accounting services, and consolidated reporting
-
Collaborate closely with the Group Controller on compliance and governance matters

Work with Revenue Assurance teams on revenue-related activities and controls
-
Partner with cross-functional teams, including Human Resources, Facilities Management, and Internal Audit
External
-
External auditors and consulting partners

Tax authorities
Your Profile
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
-
Recognized local or international accounting qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, ACMA, or equivalent)

Several years of professional experience in Accounting, Financial Controlling, or Finance within an international organization
-
Experience in external audit or public accounting is considered an advantage
-
Experience working within a Principal Operating Company (POC) model is desirable
-
Strong knowledge of local statutory accounting requirements and audit processes, including local GAAP, statutory financial statements, tax calculations, and VAT reporting

Strong knowledge of US GAAP

Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements is an advantage

Experience working with SAP
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Fluency in English and either German or French at a professional business level (minimum C1 level) is mandatory

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach

Structured, solution-oriented working style and strong leadership capabilities
Compensation
The annual gross salary range for this position is between CHF 112,700 and CHF 170,500. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant professional experience, qualifications, skills, and internal compensation structures. We are committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity and make compensation decisions based solely on objective, gender-neutral criteria.
In addition, this position may be eligible for variable compensation, such as a performance-based or sales-related bonus.
