Your Role.
We are looking for an experienced Systems and Homologation Engineer to support the technical coordination of our vehicle development and the homologation of our electric light commercial vehicles.
In this role, you will work at the interface between engineering, safety and regulation. You will ensure that system topics are developed consistently across software, electronics and mechanical domains, and that regulatory requirements are integrated into the technical development process from an early stage.
You will coordinate system-related topics, support the preparation and execution of homologation activities, and work closely with our engineering teams and external partners.
Depending on your background, you will also contribute directly within one of our engineering disciplines – software, electronics or mechanical engineering – and bring your expertise into the technical development of our vehicles.
At Flux, you will work in a small team with short decision-making paths. This role is not purely coordinating; it is deeply technical. You will help structure and mature complex vehicle systems and bring them to series production readiness.
- Coordinate systems engineering across software, electronics and mechanical teams.
- Ensure a consistent system architecture and clear interfaces between vehicle subsystems.
- Support the homologation of our vehicles for the European market, including technical documentation and coordination with technical services and authorities.
- Integrate regulatory requirements into the technical development process at an early stage.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams as well as external development and test partners.
- Contribute directly within a technical discipline (software, electronics or mechanical engineering), depending on your background.
- Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or a comparable discipline.
- At least 7 years of industry experience in automotive or a similarly regulated technical industry.
- Experience with vehicle homologation or regulatory requirements in the European market.
- Engineering experience in at least one of the following areas: software, electronics or mechanical engineering.
- Ability to structure, coordinate and drive technical topics across multiple disciplines.
- Experience with safety-related development processes or standards (e.g. UNECE regulations or ISO 26262) is an advantage.
- Self-driven way of working and willingness to take ownership in a small, pragmatic engineering team.
At Flux, we develop electric commercial vehicles in small teams with a high level of ownership. Our vehicles are already in real-world use – on construction sites, in cities and in the daily operations of our customers.
This means that decisions are made close to the product. Engineers take responsibility for their systems throughout the full development cycle – from architecture and testing through to issues seen in the field.
If you enjoy structuring complex technical systems, taking ownership and working in an environment where execution matters more than hierarchy, this role is likely to suit you.
About Flux.
Flux Mobility AG was founded in April 2021. Our mission is to develop high-quality light commercial vehicles with innovative, emission-free drivetrain technologies and to electrify specialist vehicles in Winterthur.
Our vehicles are built on a flexible platform concept that enables the direct replacement of diesel vehicles on a one-to-one basis. In doing so, we are helping to drive the sustainable transformation of industrial mobility and enabling companies to realise the full potential of electric mobility.
