Asymmetrica Investments AG
Location: Zug, Switzerland (with European travel)
Job Type: Senior permanent / partnership-track
Sector: Alternative Investments — Private Equity, Real Estate, Private Debt, Structured Products
Reporting Line: Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Compensation: Competitive base + uncapped performance package including carry participation
Overview
Asymmetrica Investments AG, a Swiss-headquartered alternative investments firm, is recruiting a Senior Director / Partner to lead Investor Relations and Capital Formation across the European market. The successful candidate will own the firm's institutional, family-office, and private-bank LP universe across Europe and operate alongside the existing Chief Business Development Officer covering MENA. Together, the two senior fundraising leaders are responsible for delivering capital across the firm's flagship ABID Project and a portfolio of carry-bearing vehicles in real estate, private debt, and structured products.
The role is senior and entrepreneurial. It reports directly to the founder and operates with significant autonomy. Compensation is structured to reward outperformance materially: a competitive Swiss-market base, commissions on capital sourced, milestone bonuses on cumulative production, and carry participation in the firm's carry-bearing funds. There are no hard ceilings on what a strong producer can earn.
About the Firm
Asymmetrica Investments AG is a Zug-based alternative investments firm building a diversified portfolio of differentiated investment vehicles. The firm is currently in active fundraising mode for the ABID Project and runs parallel mandates across real estate, growth capital, private debt, and structured products. Investment activities span European, Middle Eastern, and emerging-market geographies. The firm is regulated under Swiss law and operates under FinSA where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the firm's European capital formation strategy across institutional investors, family offices, private banks, multi-family offices, and qualified high-net-worth networks.
- Build, maintain, and convert a substantive pipeline of LP prospects across the DACH region (Switzerland, Germany, Austria) at minimum, extending where possible to France, Benelux, the United Kingdom, Italy, and the Nordics.
- Lead investor outreach for the flagship ABID Project, including direct engagement with prospective LPs, oversight of investor materials and data room, and management of the diligence process through to first close and subsequent closings.
- Drive ongoing fundraising across the firm's existing and forthcoming vehicles in real estate, private debt, growth capital, and structured products.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, investor events, and bilateral meetings across European financial centres including Zurich, Geneva, Frankfurt, Munich, London, Paris, Luxembourg, and Milan.
- Collaborate with the firm's investment teams to ensure investor materials, fund documentation, and reporting reflect institutional standards and prospective investor requirements.
- Provide strategic input on product development informed by direct LP feedback on market demand, fee structures, vehicle wrappers, and reporting expectations.
- Maintain compliance with Swiss FinSA and FinIA requirements, AIFMD distribution rules where applicable, and adjacent local-market regulatory regimes throughout the investor engagement process.
- Build and supervise the European business development infrastructure as the firm scales, including the addition of supporting analyst and associate-level resources over time.
Required Skills and Experience
- Twelve (12) or more years of professional experience in institutional capital formation, investor relations, private wealth management, or alternative investments business development.
- Demonstrated track record of sourcing and closing institutional and family-office capital, with verifiable evidence of capital raised across one or more recent fundraising cycles.
- Active, current, and substantive relationships across European LP communities — institutional investors, family offices, private banks, and multi-family offices — with particular depth in the DACH region.
- Strong commercial fluency across alternative investment product categories: private equity, real estate, private debt, infrastructure, and structured products.
- Working familiarity with European fund structuring (UCITS, AIF under AIFMD, Luxembourg SCSp/RAIF, Swiss collective investment schemes) and the regulatory landscape governing capital introduction across major European jurisdictions.
- Native or near-native command of German required. English fluency at senior-business level required. French and Italian are significant practical advantages.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Switzerland. Eligibility to work in Switzerland required (Swiss or EU/EFTA passport, or existing valid Swiss work permit).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience at a recognised Swiss private bank, wealth manager, or alternative investments platform with documented LP coverage.
- Buy-side or capital markets background with portable LP relationships, including candidates currently transitioning from large-bank Wealth Management or Private Banking divisions following recent industry consolidation.
- Industry certifications such as CFA, CAIA, FRM, or equivalent.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a recognised institution.
- Established presence on industry distribution lists, panels, and conference circuits (IPEM, SuperReturn, EVCA, AIM Summit, and equivalents).
Personal Attributes
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating in a performance-weighted compensation structure rather than a fixed-base package.
- Ability to function effectively in a small-team, high-autonomy environment without the institutional infrastructure of a large bank.
- Strong commercial instincts and a record of building durable LP relationships rather than transactional ones.
- High personal integrity and disciplined approach to confidentiality, given the sensitivity of investor and deal-pipeline information.
What is on Offer
- A senior partnership-track seat at a growing alternative investments firm, with direct reporting line to the founder and meaningful influence on firm strategy.
- Competitive Swiss-market base compensation calibrated to candidate seniority and verified deliverable book.
- Performance compensation with no hard ceilings: commissions on capital sourced, milestone bonuses on cumulative production, and carry participation in the firm's carry-bearing vehicles.
- Tail provisions protecting commission and carry on capital sourced during engagement that closes within a defined post-engagement period.
- Flexibility to structure the engagement as either Swiss employment or independent consulting, depending on candidate preference and personal circumstances.
- Significant scope to scale the European business development function over time as the firm grows.
How to Apply
Interested candidates are invited to submit a current CV alongside a one-page indicative outline of the LP relationships they believe they could activate within the first twelve months of joining. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a multi-stage interview process including a meeting with the founder and CEO. All approaches and submissions are treated with strict confidentiality.
