The Junior Financial Controller supports manufacturing and operational controlling activities, ensuring accurate inventory valuation, cost transparency, and margin analysis.
The role provides financial support to production, sourcing, and project teams, while contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing processes.
The position also supports audit activities, internal controls, and finance process improvements including reporting automation.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Controlling

Support accurate inventory valuation, ensuring that stock is properly recorded and valued

Perform variance analysis (actual vs. standard costs) and support explanation of key differences

Assist in maintaining standard costs and ensuring they reflect operational reality

Prepare and maintain manufacturing cost reporting, including component-level analysis
Planning & Budgeting

Support the annual budgeting process in collaboration with Finance and operational teams

Help analyze variances between actual results, budget, and forecast
Project Controlling

Track project costs, budgets, and forecasts

Assist in financial planning activities related to projects

Support the identification of opportunities to improve and automate processes
Audit & Compliance

Support internal and external audit processes

Contribute to inventory depreciation and warranty provision assessments
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling

2–5 years of experience in controlling or finance, ideally in a manufacturing environment

Initial experience with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and standard costing methodologies is a strong advantage

Strong analytical skills; experience with financial analysis or modeling is a plus
-
Experience with ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a strong advantage) and reporting tools

Fluency in English required; German is an advantage
