Junior Full-Stack Engineer — Cybersecurity SaaS
Location: Zurich, hybrid · Type: Full-time
About Korix
Korix is a cybersecurity platform for CISOs: phishing-simulation training, security awareness, breach monitoring, and exposure insights, all in one product. We're a small, senior team hiring our next engineer to grow with us.
Attackers are already using AI agents to run faster, more convincing attacks. Our answer is to build agents on the defensive side: to simulate those attacks realistically and train employees to spot and resist them. Building with agents isn't just how we work here, it's the product.
The role
You'll start by shipping well-scoped features and fixes across the stack, from backend services to the customer-facing dashboard, with close mentorship and code review from senior engineers. Over time you'll take on larger pieces. We expect you to learn fast and ask good questions, not to know everything on day one.
We work in Go on the backend and a modern JavaScript/TypeScript front-end, all on GCP. You don't need prior experience with our exact stack; you need the fundamentals and the drive to learn quickly.
Building with coding agents
We use AI coding agents (Claude Code and similar) every day and expect you to leverage them too, following good practices. You should understand and stand behind everything you ship. We'll help you build that judgment.
What we're looking for
- Some experience building software, ideally touching both backend and front-end: internships, a degree, a bootcamp, solid side projects, or 0–2 years professional.
- Comfort with at least one language and genuine enthusiasm to become strong in Go and on the front-end.
- Understanding of HTTP APIs, relational databases (SQL), and Git.
- Curiosity, attention to detail, and the discipline to test your own work.
- Openness to feedback and a healthy skepticism toward "the agent said so."
Big plus
- Prior exposure to cybersecurity, whether through coursework, a CTF, a hobby project, or just genuine interest. It's not required, but it will help you connect with what we build.
- Any project you can show us: a repo, a demo, or a problem you're proud of solving (bonus points if you can describe how you used AI tools responsibly to build it).
How we'll assess you
Part of our process is a hands-on session where you'll work through a small problem with a coding agent and talk us through it. Don't worry about producing perfect code. We want to see how you think: how you break the problem down, whether you understand what the agent gives you, how you check that it actually works, and whether you'll speak up when something looks off. It's a conversation, not a trick. Reasoning out loud and admitting what you're unsure about helps you here.
