The Head Bio FP and Strategy leads performance management, financial planning and productivity delivery across Biosimilars development, manufacturing and supply footprint, driving cost competitiveness, capital efficiency, and end to end enterprise value creation.
This role is a key financial partner to the senior leadership team, providing insights and transparency driving operational execution and strategic decision-making across the expanding Biosimilars pipeline and network.
Key competencies include leadership in strategic thinking, innovative financial modelling and a wide range of analytical understanding including internal and external analytics.
Major accountabilities:
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Strategic Business leadership: Shapes financial perspective of Biosimilars strategy across development, manufacturing and supply, ensuring sustainable and competitive growth in the journey of Bio assets expansion.
- Strategic Investment Management: Leads financial oversight of >$1bln investment portfolio, ensuring disciplined capital allocation, governance, and delivery aligned with Sandoz strategic priorities.
- Performance Management: Owns multi-year financial planning and reporting agenda to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement. Ensures financial transparency of the overall development and manufacturing expansion plans. Drives integrated planning across supply readiness and inventory build where relevant, balancing service, cost, and cash.
- Productivity and Cost Competitiveness: Champions continuous efficiency improvements across development and manufacturing, leading identification, sizing, and prioritization of asset development efficiencies and manufacturing productivity levers ensuring positive financial impact.
- Enterprise Business Partnering: Acts as trusted strategic finance partner to Bio development, manufacturing and supply leadership, Development and Operations Finance and Commercial Finance organization, supporting cross-functional alignment and integrated decision-making.
- Process Excellence: Defines and implements effective FP and productivity processes in alignment with Bio execution plans driving automation/digitalization to improve data quality
- Team Leadership& Development: Lead and develop, building capability in business analysis, reporting, and financial insights. Drive digital literacy of overall team.
- Compliance& Control: Ensure financial processes meet internal control standards and are audit-ready, with clear documentation and governance.
Minimum Requirements:
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline; MBA, CPA/CMA a plus
- 10+ years of experience in Finance Operations and FP roles. Preferably also with Finance Commercial experience.
- Preferable within a pharmaceutical organization
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize information to develop recommendations, and ability to persuade/influence organization pursuit of recommended path
- Demonstrated business acumen - connecting the dots and generating insights, prioritizing business questions and recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex reports and analysis into simple ‘business speak’ and present results to internal clients up to the executive level
- Strong leadership experience with a track record of team development and performance delivery
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and business partnering skills
