Position: Research Scientist - Permanent Contract (No relocation assistance )
Expected Gross Annual Salary Range: 90,525 CHF - 111,825 CHF per year, determined on the basis of objective, transparent, and gender-neutral criteria.
Initial compensation and benefits are determined in accordance with strict principles of equal pay, transparency, and non-discrimination. Role Summary
The role of a Research Scientist in analytical focuses on the technical support of the European and Global Oral Care business. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Analytical Chemist to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for conducting chemical analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards, regulations and to support product launches and also comprises ongoing category support for existing products.
Responsibilities
Support efficient execution of assigned projects, meeting the agreed timelines and specified product characteristics
Raw Material Analysis and Release
Inventory management of chemicals and reference materials
Ordering consumables
Performing a wide range of technical tasks and experiments in support of research, development, quality control, or diagnostics
Collaborate with researchers and scientists to design and execute experiments
Understand and apply internal and external standards and guidelines to ensure compliance with all requirements
Perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses using various analytical techniques such as chromatography (HPLC, GC, LC-MS, ICP-MS etc.), spectroscopy (UV-Vis, IR, NMR, etc.), and other laboratory techniques (titration, viscosity)
Develop and validate analytical methods for the testing of new and existing products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, (product development, scale-up, production, and quality assurance), to support product development and troubleshooting
Ensure the calibration and maintenance of analytical instruments to keep them in optimal working condition
Manage maintenance of technical equipment with allocated responsibility
Compile and organize experimental data and results and support in their interpretation
Prepare reports, summaries, and documentation for review by senior researchers
Maintain accurate records of all analyses, experiments, and results in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Follow respective SOPs.
Stay current with advancements in analytical chemistry and related technologies through continuous education and professional development.
Assist in the training of junior chemists, laboratory technicians and apprentices
Participate in internal and external audits, as required
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field
Proven experience as an Analytical Chemist or in a similar role.

Attention to detail and accuracy in recording and analyzing data
Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English (German would be a plus)
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field

Strong knowledge of analytical techniques and instrumentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, EP, ISO).

Good organizational and time-management skills.
