ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a Web Merchandiser to join our eCommerce Merchandising team, based at our EMEA headquarters in Geneva. You will own the Footwear category (Columbia and Sorel), as well as Accessories, Youth and Equipment, working alongside another Category Web Merchandiser focused on Apparel.
This is a newly created role, supporting our eCommerce team as it takes on stronger ownership of on site commercial performance. Your mission: make sure the right products are visible, compelling and easy to find for your categories, every single day.
You will work in close collaboration with the Buying team, translating what is bought into a clear, performance driven on site experience, and with the Consumer Experience Specialist to keep navigation and search consistent across categories.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
Monitor and drive category performance
- Review your categories' performance daily and identify what is working and what is not
- Diagnose the root cause of underperformance (traffic, stock, pricing, positioning) and activate solutions
- Proactively flag issues and opportunities to Buying and other stakeholders rather than waiting to be asked
Optimize the on site experience for your categories
- Make sure hero products and key stories are well showcased throughout the customer journey
- Review search, navigation and category pages to ensure they reflect your priorities
- Partner with the Consumer Experience Specialist to keep cross category navigation consistent
Translate go to market plans into web merchandising tactics
- Contribute to the seasonal DTC go-to-market
- Turn marketing and merchandising stories into concrete on site initiatives (exclusive drops, capsules, full price pushes)
- Prepare and execute the merchandising plan for key commercial moments, including Black Friday
Build a strong working relationship with Buying
- Act as the digital voice for your categories, sharing consumer behavior insights to inform future buying decisions
- Develop solid product knowledge to anticipate what will resonate with consumers
YOU ARE
- Driven by business performance: you think like a salesperson for your categories
- Proactive and assertive: you go and find information rather than waiting for it, and you know how to defend your categories
- Analytical and structured: you enjoy understanding why something works (or does not) and you follow through with rigor
- Comfortable managing several priorities at once, with a strong sense of ownership over deadlines and follow up
- A natural collaborator, equally at ease with Buying, Content and Marketing teams
YOU HAVE
- Solid experience in web merchandising, ideally gained on the retailer side (multi brand platform or marketplace), where category level performance ownership tends to be more mature
- A strong commercial and analytical mindset, with comfort reading performance data to prioritize actions
- Experience in eCommerce or digital retail; experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a plus
- An interest in the Footwear or Outdoor space is a plus but not a requirement; what matters most is your business acumen and rigor
- Fluency in English
