The Opportunity
WIK is evolving toward a stronger, globally integrated Technology organization and an increasingly technology-driven ODM partner. We are looking for an experienced engineering and technology leader to work closely with the CTO in translating this ambition into an effective global operating model.
Based in Switzerland, the role connects Technology strategy with execution across Innovation, Advanced Engineering, Platforms & System Architecture, Product Development, Experts and Validation Labs. In the initial phase, the role will also lead and develop a team of Engineers in Germany.
Your Mission
In this senior role you will be reporting directly to the Group CTO and will build an integrated and scalable Technology organization by creating clear governance, decision mechanisms and interfaces, while ensuring technologies move effectively from exploration through engineering maturation and into product development.
The organizational scope may evolve as WIK matures; the core mandate of Technology integration and governance within the CTO organization will remain.
Key Responsibilities
-
Translate Technology strategy and the Target Operating Model into practical governance, decision rights and ways of working.
-
Connect Innovation, Platform & System Architecture, Experts, Product Development, Validation and relevant Operations interfaces.
-
Strengthen technical governance across opportunity assessment, RFQ, product development, technology maturation and key Technology decisions.
-
Identify structural bottlenecks, unclear ownership and recurring interface issues and drive pragmatic solutions.
-
Provide the CTO with transparency on Technology priorities, maturity, risks, capabilities and organizational dependencies.
-
Initially lead and develop Advanced Engineering, establishing its mission, priorities and operating model.
-
Drive maturation of selected technologies from feasibility through demonstrators and robust engineering solutions, enabling effective transfer into platforms and product development.
-
Promote reuse of technologies, architectures and engineering knowledge across the product portfolio.
-
Drive selected cross-functional Technology initiatives and organizational improvements on behalf of the CTO.
-
Ensure governance creates clarity and accountability without unnecessary bureaucracy.
What Success Looks Like
-
Clear and effective Technology governance and decision rights across the global organization.
-
Stronger interfaces between Innovation, Platforms and Product Development.
-
A transparent flow from technology exploration through maturation and product application.
-
Reduced organizational friction, clearer ownership and improved Technology execution.
Your Profile
We are looking for an experienced engineer and technology leader who can combine technical depth with organizational thinking.
-
Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Systems Engineering or a comparable engineering discipline.
-
Typically 12-15+ years of experience in R&D, engineering, product development or technology development.
-
Strong experience with complex physical or electromechanical products and multidisciplinary engineering.
-
Experience leading engineering teams, pre-development & development, technology development or comparable activities.
-
Proven ability to move technologies from concept and feasibility through maturation into product development.
-
Strong understanding of product development, systems engineering, validation and industrialization & processes.
-
Experience establishing engineering governance, operating models or cross-functional technical organizations.
-
Experience working in international and matrix organizations; excellent English communication skills.
Experience in consumer appliances, beverage systems, water systems or other complex high-volume products is an advantage.
The Leader We Are Looking For
You are an engineer at heart who can see the complete system - technology, people, organization and execution - and turn complexity into clarity. You are comfortable building structures that do not yet exist, challenging established ways of working and connecting engineering organizations around a common direction.
You are pragmatic, technically credible and able to move naturally from engineering discussions to organizational design and executive decisions. Above all, you build and integrate rather than simply coordinate.
At WIK Group, you will join an engineering and technology environment built on curiosity, technical excellence, shared responsibility, and continuous learning. You will be trusted to support and drive the integration of new technologies across our product categories, helping to connect innovative ideas with practical, scalable solutions.
As Technology Integration Manager, you will work closely with international engineering teams and stakeholders across our global organization. You will help coordinate technology integration activities, support cross-functional collaboration, contribute to the implementation of future-ready solutions, and ensure that new technologies are successfully embedded into our products, platforms, and processes.
You will be part of an international environment with opportunities to collaborate across sites and contribute meaningfully to a more sustainable future.
If you want to bring your technical expertise, hands-on mindset, and strong coordination skills to work, and help turn technology concepts into real-world solutions, we look forward to meeting you.
