Die Position
As a Clinical Master Production Scheduler (MPS) Intern, you will support the management of the Master Production Schedule for clinical and pre-clinical packaging operations. Your primary focus will be the digital transformation of scheduling workflows, leveraging data analytics and automation to eliminate manual processes and enhance the accuracy and visibility of production schedules, including balancing order volumes against supply capacity and managing order change requests. You will work closely with Planning, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure the seamless delivery of clinical supplies through a data-driven approach to production enablement.
The Opportunity:
- You identify and execute opportunities to digitize and automate manual scheduling reports and performance dashboards in order to improve operational visibility.
- Analyzing clinical supply chain data sets enables you to identify capacity bottlenecks and perform "what-if" scenario analyses that support strategic resource allocation.
- You assist in the detailed scheduling of packaging activities, ensuring material readiness and verifying that orders are released to the shop floor to meet production timelines.
- You own, manage, and level load order volume to meet supply capacity within an 8-week horizon.
- Managing order change requests allows you to prioritize and decide on changes according to customer needs and available site capacity.
- You streamline process documentation for global harmonization while supporting the implementation of lean production methodologies through digital tools.
- Cross-functional collaboration with Planning, Manufacturing, and Quality teams lets you track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provide data-backed recommendations for schedule stability and resource optimization.
Who You Are:
- You have a university degree in progress or completed within the last 12 months prior to the internship start date, preferably in the fields of Business, Life Sciences, Engineering or Computer Science.
- Your strong planning, organization, and time-management skills allow you to support multiple teams and projects with effective prioritization.
- You possess strong analytical, logic, and problem-solving skills, enabling you to simplify complex data for stakeholders.
- Your excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English ensure effective verbal and written interactions across all levels.
- A collaborative and agile mindset helps you influence key decision-makers and contribute effectively to self-directed cross-functional teams.
- You bring a solid understanding of Supply Chain Management, focusing on scheduling, capacity, and resource planning.
- Familiarity with GMP environments in industries such as pharmaceutical or food, or equivalent supply chain functions, is required for this role.
- Exposure to ERP systems like SAP, OMP, or APO, as well as professional certifications like APICS, SCOR, or PMP, is considered a significant plus.
Application Process:
- Please upload your CV (in English), a motivation letter with your application, and a certificate of enrolment (if you are currently studying) or your degree certificate (if you have already completed your studies).
- Non-EU/Non-EFTA citizens must attach a confirmation from the university to the application documents, stating that a mandatory internship is part of the education and be continuously enrolled in their university for the whole duration of this internship.
