Kiducation KIG provides an educational after-school program for children 5-15.
Our immersive learning environment empowers children to build confidence in communicating and to develop critical thinking.
We are expanding our international team and are looking for enthusiastic teachers to join us.
Key Responsibilities:
Young learners (5-8):
- Plan and lead engaging English classes for a small group of children who all have no or very little command of English
- Incorporate themes using games, songs, storytelling, role play activities and hands-on activities to keep students engaged
- Encourage children to speak by immersing them in fun activities
Older learners (8–11):
- Support children in becoming confident readers, writers, and communicators
- Use English as a tool for thinking, discussion, and learning across subjects.
General responsibilities:
- Ensure effective communication with parents
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback when needed
- Work collaboratively with the Kiducation team to follow the program curriculum
Learning objectives:
- Use basic phrases and expressions and interact in a simple way
- Build up first vocabulary
- Help students with correct pronunciation
- Ignite a passion for learning
- Help children become confident in speaking the new language
- Strengthening language through reading, writing, and meaningful discussions (9-11)
Qualifications and Requirements:
Essential:
- Swiss resident, in possession of a valid Swiss work permit
- A certified / qualified educator for primary school children
- Able to deliver an interactive and immersive class with a strong focus on speaking
- Relevant experience teaching English as an additional language
- Native speaker of English
- English or German skills, to be able to communicate with the team
- Swiss criminal record extract (Issued within the last 3 months)
Desirable:
- First Aid certification
- Willingness to travel to other locations within the Zurich Oberland
- Flexible in work schedule, with the possibility to extend

Job details:
- Lessons will be held in the Zurich Oberland and / or surrounding areas
- Approx 2h / week, with the possibility to extend it further
