We are looking for a proactive HR & Staff Experience Intern to join our property in Gstaad.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both Human Resources and hotel operations, while acting as the local HR representative on site. You will work closely with the HR team based at our Geneva Head Office and support the Executive Housekeeper based in Gstaad in the management of our staff accommodation.
This position offers a high level of autonomy and is ideal for someone looking to develop a broad understanding of HR and operations within the luxury hospitality industry.
Position Summary
Reporting to the HR Manager for all HR matters and to the Executive Housekeeper for staff accommodation activities, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth employee journey from onboarding through offboarding while contributing to the daily management of our staff houses.
Responsibilities:
Staff Housing & Employee Experience
Coordinate employee arrivals and departures in staff accommodation.
Conduct check-in, check-out and regular staff house inspections.
Ensure accommodation standards are maintained and report maintenance issues.
Prepare rooms for new arrivals and welcome packs.
Welcome seasonal employees and support their integration.
Assist with uniform fittings and size collection.
Act as the local point of contact for accommodation-related matters.
Human Resources Operations
Prepare employment contracts, amendments, HR letters and employment certificates.
Maintain employee files and update the HRIS.
Register employees in the time & attendance system (fingerprint enrolment).
Track HR documentation and ensure timely completion.
Follow up work permits and health insurance documentation.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities.
Ensure all administrative steps are completed in a timely manner.
Support the Payroll Specialist in collecting employee tips and expense claims.
Coordinate the end-of-season seasonal staff party.
Contribute to initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
Provide administrative support to the Geneva HR team and participate in HR projects if needed.
Profile
Currently studying or recently graduated in HR, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Fluent in both English and French.
Holder of a valid driving licence and own vehicle is mandatory.
Swiss or EU nationality, or otherwise already holding a valid Swiss work permit allowing employment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Proactive, highly organised and detail-oriented.
Able to work independently, flexible and team player.
Eager to learn and develop.
Service-minded with excellent interpersonal skills.
Discreet and able to handle confidential information.
