FORTIS METALS GROUP is a privately held group specializing in the trading of specialty metals, minor metals, and critical raw materials, with offices spanning Europe, North America, and Asia.
Fortis Metals SA is the group's newest office, based in Geneva. The team is small today: two traders, one logistics coordinator, and two finance and administrative staff, backed by the resources and experience of sister entities in the United States, Asia, and Luxembourg.
Job Description:
Introduction
As Administrative Assistant, the successful candidate will support the team, both locally and across the group, with various administrative and accounting tasks. This is an entry level position. The tasks below form the core of the role, with new responsibilities added progressively as skills develop. Room to grow is real: this is a small, young office, and the role is expected to expand alongside it.
Functions
- Processing sales and purchase invoices to ensure timely and accurate entry into the system.
- Verifying supporting documentation for credit card expenses and expense reports.
- Preparing supplier payments in line with approval and due date requirements.
- Monitoring incoming payments and following up on overdue customer accounts.
- Controlling stock levels in the system.
- Preparing transport insurance reports for premium calculation.
- Managing departmental documentation and information systems, maintaining accurate records and planning tools.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of administrative processes and ensuring the continuity of services within the team.
No accounting background is required. Full training is provided on invoicing, payments, and the other finance related tasks above.
Qualifications
No specific qualification required beyond completed secondary education (high school diploma).
Experience
Administrative experience within a team is a plus, particularly in an international environment.
Technical competencies
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.

- French is a plus, as the local team's mother tongue is French, but all work is conducted in English.

Eligibility
- Immediate start
- Permanent contract (CDI) with a 3 month trial period
- Open to sponsoring a work permit for the right candidate

- Working hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
