For our group company, Bernard Rothfos Intercafé AG , we are looking for a Key Account Manager - Green Coffee (f/m/d).
The position will be based in Zug.
Bernard Rothfos Intercafé AG is a globally active company within the green coffee supply chain. With deep roots at origin and long-standing relationships with international customers, we connect producers and markets with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and partnership.
To further strengthen this connection, we are creating a new Key Account Manager role that will act as the central link between origin and our international large-scale customers, managing all relevant internal interfaces across trading, logistics, quality, and risk management.
Your role
As Key Account Manager, you act as the central coordination and integration point for selected international key accounts. You will build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic clients, act as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring high customer satisfaction, identifying growth opportunities, and driving revenue through consultative sales and account development.
You will ensure that customer requirements are translated into internal processes, and consistently delivered across the entire organization and supply chain. In doing so, you work in close alignment with the relevant expert functions, particularly trading, logistics, quality, food safety, sustainability, compliance, risk management, and finance to ensure that requirements are assessed appropriately, implemented effectively, and aligned with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
This role combines customer leadership, cross functional coordination, commercial acumen, internal stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of the coffee value chain from origin to destination.
Ensure that NKG operates as a coordinated network for global customers, delivering consistency, transparency, and reliability across origins.
Your responsibilities
Translate customer requirements into clear internal briefs and coordinate execution across:
- Trading and Sourcing; mainly connecting vertically integrated supply chains in origin (NKG exporters) and clients
- Logistics and Supply Chain / Business Execution
- Quality, Food Safety, Sustainability, and Compliance
- Risk Management and Finance
Coordinate volumes, qualities, origins, timelines, and specifications from origin to customer
Your profile

5-7 years of experience in key account management, sales, trading, or supply chain roles within the coffee or agricultural commodities sector

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field

Strong understanding of the green coffee value chain, ideally including origin exposure

Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments across functions and geographies

High customer orientation with a structured, solution-driven working style

Strong communication and coordination skills, able to align diverse interests

Cooperative, sociable, convincing, driving & adaptable character

Analytical mindset and confidence in working with volumes, contracts, and operational data

Ability to build trust with executive-level stakeholders

Experience working in international or cross-functional teams

Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g. Spanish, Portuguese, German,) are an advantage

Willingness to travel internationally as required
